1.41

「須菩提！於意云何？可以相成就見如來不？」須菩提言：「不也。世尊！不可以相成就得見如來。何以故？如來所說相即非相。」佛告須菩提：「凡所有相皆是妄語。若見諸相非相則非妄語，如是諸相非相則見如來。」

"Subhūti, what do you think? Can the Tathāgata be seen by means of the perfection of marks?" Subhūti said, "No, World-Honored One. One cannot see the Tathāgata by means of the perfection of marks. Why is this? What the Tathāgata spoke of as marks are precisely no marks." The Buddha told Subhūti, "All that possesses marks is false. If one sees that all marks are no marks, then it is not false; when one thus sees all marks as no marks, one then sees the Tathāgata."
