"Furthermore, Subhūti, if there is a good man or good woman who can accept, uphold, read, recite, and practice this dharma gate, then the Tathāgata, with the Buddha's wisdom, fully knows this person, fully sees this person, and fully perceives this person; they will all achieve an immeasurable and boundless mass of merit. Subhūti, if there is a good man or good woman who, in the morning portion of the day, gives away bodies equal to the sands of the Ganges in charity, and in the middle portion of the day again gives away bodies equal to the sands of the Ganges in charity, and in the late portion of the day again gives away bodies equal to the sands of the Ganges in charity, thus giving away bodies equal to the sands of the Ganges and immeasurable bodies, giving bodies in charity like this for hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of nayutas of kalpas; and if there is another person who hears this dharma gate and has faithful mind without slandering it, their merit surpasses the former by an immeasurable asaṃkhyeya—how much more so if they copy, accept, uphold, read, recite, practice, and broadly explain it for others!"
