The Buddha said: "Subhūti, what do you think? Has the Tathāgata attained anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi?" Subhūti said: "No, World-Honored One! World-Honored One, there is no least dharma through which the Tathāgata has attained anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi." The Buddha said: "Just so, just so, Subhūti! I, with respect to anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi, have not even the least dharma that can be attained, and this is called anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi. Furthermore, Subhūti, this Dharma is equal without high or low; this is called anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi. Because there is no sentient being, no person, and no one with a life-span, equal anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi is attained; through all wholesome dharmas, anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi is attained. Subhūti, as for the wholesome dharmas, wholesome dharmas spoken of, the Tathāgata says they are not wholesome dharmas, therefore they are called wholesome dharmas."
