From "Furthermore, the Equal Awakening" below is the eleventh Dharma master. The text has three parts: first, designating the rank. In the practice of the bhūmi, illuminating both the real and the conventional equally is called "Equal Awakening"; it is also not the Equal Awakening of the eleventh bhūmi. From "Dwelling in the unproduced" below is, second, clarifying the distinctions of contemplation. The text has three parts: first, clarifying the contemplation of existence and nonexistence, which again has two parts: first, matching the rank. From "Contemplating mind after mind" below is, second, directly discerning the contemplation of existence and nonexistence. The text has three parts: first, distinct explanation, which has two parts: first, clarifying quiescence that constantly functions. "Mind after mind is quiescent and extinguished" means that every moment of thought is empty, which clarifies the meaning of quiescence. Although without characteristic, there is characteristic; although without body, there is body; although without knowing, there is knowing—this clarifies the meaning of function. From "Yet employing the mind" below is, second, clarifying function that is constantly quiescent. From "Being in existence, constantly cultivating emptiness" below is, second, combined explanation of existence and nonexistence. "Being in existence, cultivating emptiness" explains the above function that is constantly quiescent. "Abiding in emptiness, constantly producing ten thousand transformations" explains the above quiescence that constantly functions. "Because of illuminating all phenomena equally" is, third, a double conclusion. From "Knowing what is possible and what is impossible" below is, second, clarifying the contemplation of the ten powers. It only clarifies the last one; the other practices are abbreviated. "And ascending to the rank of mahāroga to transform the sentient beings of all lands" is the third, the distinction of ascending to the rank. "Mahāroga" is translated here as "great attainment," or called "nāga-elephant," etc. From "A thousand asaṃkhyeyas" below is, third, clarifying the time period of cultivation.
