From "The Buddha having spoken" onwards is the second, clarifying the assembly at that time attaining benefit. The text has two [parts]: first, the time; next, the benefit. "The Dharma-eye becoming pure" refers to seeing the middle dharma at the first bhūmi and above, not the Dharma-eye in the Hīnayāna. "Stage of nature" refers to the ten bhūmis traversed in common by the three vehicles, omitting nine and mentioning one. "Stage of faith" is precisely the four indestructible faiths, namely the bodhisattvas of the ten faiths. "Great emptiness and great practice" means that from the first bhūmi of the distinctive teaching and the first abode of the perfect teaching and above, all are named great emptiness and great practice, and so forth.
