From "Ten thousand bodhisattvas" downward, fifth, it is explained that the ten thousand bodhisattvas, being mindful of sentient beings of future generations, attained awakening and realized the samādhis. What is called the "wondrous enlightenment samādhi" is also named the samādhi of exhausting the principle. The "fully luminous samādhi" is called fully luminous because it completely illumines the principle. The "vajra samādhi" is firm and indestructible. The "saṃvṛti-satya samādhi" explains the characteristics of concentration in terms of what ordinary persons perceive, and hence is called saṃvṛti-satya. The "paramārtha samādhi" is based on the partial truth perceived by the two vehicles, and hence is called paramārtha. The "ultimate truth samādhi" is the ultimate truth of the Madhyamā-pratipad. Being the most refined among phenomena and never dispersed, it is called the ultimate; it is also named the dharmatā samādhi. This samādhi is the king of all samādhis, totally subsuming all phenomena, just as a king is able to command and lead; hence it is called the king of all.
