"Great Kings! In future ages, when this sūtra is circulated—a vessel of the Dharma of the seven Buddhas, the Path constantly traveled by the Buddhas of the ten directions—various evil monks who mostly seek fame and profit will, before the kings, crown princes, and royal princes, themselves explain causes and conditions that destroy the Buddha-Dharma and causes and conditions that destroy the realm. Those kings, failing to discern, will believe and listen to these words, arbitrarily creating laws and regulations without relying on the Buddha's precepts. These are the causes and conditions for destroying the Buddha and destroying the realm. At that time, the correct Dharma will not be long before it perishes."
