問：既未得聖，如何說有得八解脫？解云：八中得七，故總說言得八解脫，據實未得滅盡解脫。

Question: Since they have not yet attained sagehood, how can it be said that they attain the eight liberations? Answer: Because they attain seven among the eight, it is spoken of generally as attaining the eight liberations; in truth, they have not yet attained the liberation of cessation.
