此等何過名之為漏？答：諸論皆言煩惱現行令心連注，流散不絕三有輪迴備受苦患皆由彼漏。如諸漏器亦如漏舍，極可厭離，損污處深毀責過失立名為漏。

Through what fault are these called "outflows"? Answer: All treatises state that the active manifestation of afflictions causes the mind to flow continuously; being dispersed without interruption, transmigrating in the three realms of existence, and undergoing all manners of suffering are entirely due to those outflows. Like a leaking vessel or a leaking house, it is utterly repulsive; because its damage and defilement are profound, this fault is condemned and it is established with the name "outflow."
