解曰：無始空者，順古譯也，新云無際空。謂無初中後際可得，及無往來際可得，此無際由無際空。畢竟空者，謂諸法究竟不可得，此畢竟由畢竟空，世非世空故。從此第五明性相空。

The commentary states: "Beginningless emptiness" follows the old translation; the new translation calls it "emptiness without limits." It means that no initial, middle, or final limit is apprehendable, nor is any limit of coming and going apprehendable; this limitlessness is empty through limitlessness. "Ultimate emptiness" means that all phenomena are thoroughly unapprehendable; this ultimacy is empty through ultimacy, because the temporal and non-temporal are empty. Next is the fifth [part], clarifying the emptiness of nature and characteristics.
