解曰：無生忍者，隨其所應，此多地前無生忍也。入於正位者，即初地也。偈與長行有差別者，修行諸忍自利行增，化生為王利他行勝，偈總上二，即為異矣。從此第三忍位智。於中分三：一印述所說、二忍位境智、三讚忍德深。初印所說，於中分四：且初第一明往昔因。

The commentary explains: Regarding 'non-arising kṣānti', according to what is appropriate to each, this mostly refers to the non-arising kṣānti prior to the bhūmis. 'Entered the correct stage' refers to the first bhūmi. As for the difference between the verse and the prose: in practicing the various kṣāntis, the practice of self-benefit increases; in transforming sentient beings as a king, the practice of benefiting others is superior. The verse combines both above, which makes the difference. From here, the third section concerns the stages and cognition of the kṣāntis. In this, there are three parts: 1. Confirming what was expounded; 2. The objects and cognition of the stages of kṣānti; 3. Praising the depth of the kṣānti's virtues. The first confirms what was expounded, within which there are four parts. First, the first explains past causes.
