經：爾時世尊告大眾言：「是波斯匿王，已於過去十千劫龍光王佛法中為四地菩薩，我為八地菩薩。」
The sūtra states: At that time, the World-Honoured One addressed the great assembly, saying: "This King Prasenajit was already a fourth-bhūmi bodhisattva in the past, ten thousand kalpas ago, under the Dharma of the Buddha Dragon-Light King (Nāgaprabhārāja), and I was an eighth-bhūmi bodhisattva."
