解曰：若有恒沙等者，明多佛也。是一一佛者，化多成佛也。是諸佛等者，復化多佛也。此上三重喻說，諸佛所有數量唯佛能知，顯能說多。從此第二顯所說多。

Commentary: "If there were as numerous as the sands of the Ganges," and so forth, clarifies that the buddhas are many. "Each of these buddhas" means transforming many to attain buddhahood. "These buddhas," and so forth, means further transforming many buddhas. The three tiers of metaphorical exposition above illustrate that the quantity of all buddhas can be known only by buddhas, revealing that the speakers are many. Hereafter is the second part, revealing that what is spoken is vast.
