The commentary states: Within quiescent kṣānti, this is the lower grade. It marks the name of that bhūmi, clarifies where the king abides, and clarifies the realm of those who are transformed. 'Initially entering the adamantine': the subsequent superior absorption. 'Initially' means the beginning; 'entering' means realizing. In the final mind of this bhūmi, adamantine absorption arises, and in the initial uninterrupted path, the realization of principle becomes present. Afflictive obstacles are forever gone, and illumination and understanding are consummate and ultimate; hence it is called 'fully understanding everything.' This stage of equal enlightenment is subsumed under the Cloud of Dharma bhūmi; each occupies half of the upper and lower to reveal what comes before and after. Clarifying the births transcended is clear as stated in the text. Hereafter, the second part clarifies the lower-grade kṣānti.
