Explaining this name: all practices cultivated are free from characteristics and vast, equaling the dharmadhātu, perfecting this dedication. 'Able to serve as Dharma teachers': having attained unobstructed understanding, they are skilled in transforming and guiding. 'Tame sentient beings': expounding according to capacity to cause them to be well subdued, bringing them vast benefit and joy. As the Huayan says: 'Just as an immaculate silk band is tied around the crown of the head, abiding in the position of a Dharma teacher, extensively practicing the gift of the Dharma, giving rise to great compassion to establish sentient beings, constantly benefiting them on the path of bodhi without rest. Nourishing wholesome roots with the bodhicitta, serving as a taming master for sentient beings, and demonstrating to sentient beings the path of omniscience.' This displays the practice of transforming and benefiting. Summarizing this in verse: / 'Rescuing and protecting, indestructible, equaling all, / Reaching all places, and inexhaustible, / Complying, equally complying, along with reality, / Non-attachment, non-bondage, and equaling the dharmadhātu.' / Hereafter is the second [section], which explains the antidotes. Within this there are three: first, explaining the antidotes; second, discerning differences in rebirth; third, what is cultivated becoming increasingly superior. First, explaining the antidotes.
