彼言，世俗可說法有，依勝義諦一切皆空，雖此真空性非空、有，寄詮勝義理皆性空。有情由是次生空見，無著菩薩復請慈尊說中道教，雙除二執，而說頌言：

They said that conventionally, phenomena can be spoken of as existing, but relying on paramārtha-satya, all are empty. Although this true emptiness is in its nature neither empty nor existent, when resorting to language in terms of the ultimate, the principle is that all are empty of nature. Sentient beings subsequently gave rise to views of emptiness from this. Bodhisattva Asaṅga then requested Maitreya to teach the doctrine of the middle way to eliminate both grasps, and he spoke the verse:
