The mind is like a painter,
Painting the various five aggregates;
Within all worlds,
There is no dharma it does not make.
As is the mind, so is the Buddha;
As is the Buddha, so are sentient beings;
The mind, the Buddha, and sentient beings—
These three have no distinction.
All Buddhas completely know
That everything turns from the mind;
If one can understand like this,
This person sees the true Buddha.
The body is not the mind,
And the mind is not the body;
Yet it produces all functions,
Unprecedented in its mastery.
If a person desires to seek to know
All the Buddhas of the three times,
They should contemplate in this way:
The mind makes all Tathāgatas.
