「羅睺羅」者，譯為障，由塞鼠穴因緣，六年處胎，因此名為覆障比丘，亦得須陀洹果也。

"Rāhula" is translated as "Obstacle". Due to the condition of blocking a rat hole, he remained in the womb for six years; on this account he was called the "covered and obstructed monk". He also attained the fruit of a stream-enterer.
