就此品中自有二：第一先明富樓那蒙授記之事，第二明諸聲聞人蒙授記之事。就富樓那事中自有二：第一先明經家敘富樓那得解之相，第二從「佛告諸比丘」以下正明如來述記富樓那。又就經家敘富樓那得解中有二：第一敘其得解所由，第二正敘其得解之相。

Within this chapter there are intrinsically two parts: first, clarifying the matter of Pūrṇa receiving the bestowal of prophecy; second, clarifying the matter of the various voice-hearers receiving the bestowal of prophecy. Within the matter of Pūrṇa there are intrinsically two parts: first, the compiler of the sūtra clarifies the marks of Pūrṇa attaining understanding; second, from "The Buddha addressed the monks" below, directly clarifying the Tathāgata reciting the prophecy for Pūrṇa. Furthermore, within the compiler of the sūtra narrating Pūrṇa's attaining understanding there are two: first, narrating the reasons for his attaining understanding; second, directly narrating the marks of his attaining understanding.
