The mind is like an illusory flame, existing only as a name; it is named 'mind'. Just when one says it exists, no physical form is seen; just when one says it is non-existent, deliberate thoughts arise again. Because it cannot be conceived in terms of existence or non-existence, the mind is called 'wondrous'. The wondrous mind can serve as a model, and is termed 'Dharma'. The mental dharma is neither cause nor fruit; being able to contemplate it in accordance with principle immediately accomplishes cause and fruit, which is named 'lotus blossom'. Through the one mind accomplishing contemplation, it also transforms and teaches other minds; this is named 'sūtra'. This concludes explaining the title.
