果用長短四難者，若今果用長，教何不明常住？行何不頓破無明？人何不即是毘盧遮那？理何不即是祕藏？當知今果無有妙法，豈非麁耶（云云）？

Regarding the four challenges to the length and shortness of the fruit's function: If the present fruit's function were long, why does its teaching not clarify eternal abiding? Why does its practice not suddenly destroy ignorance? Why are its persons not immediately Vairocana? Why is its principle not immediately the secret treasury? One should know that the present fruit has no subtle Dharma; how is it not coarse?
