10.50

若言第三時，抑挫聲聞褒揚菩薩，此得斥小一種聲聞，全失七種聲聞；得顯大一意，全不得折挫諸偏菩薩，褒揚極圓菩薩；亦不得折挫諸權菩薩，褒揚於實菩薩。又不識偏、圓、權、實四門，所得處少，不得處多。

If one says that in the third period [the Buddha] disparaged śrāvakas and praised bodhisattvas, this captures the single kind of śrāvakas who are rebuked as small, but completely loses seven kinds of śrāvakas; it grasps the single meaning of revealing the great, but completely fails to repudiate the various biased bodhisattvas and praise the ultimate perfect bodhisattvas; nor does it repudiate the various provisional bodhisattvas and praise the real bodhisattvas. Furthermore, it does not recognize the four gates of biased, perfect, provisional, and real. What it grasps is little, and what it fails to grasp is much.
