若的就菩薩位，辨五味義，如上行妙中辨，亦如《次第禪門》說也，是名漸次觀也。
If we discern the meaning of the five flavors strictly in terms of the bodhisattva stages, it is as discerned above in the 'subtlety of practice,' and also as explained in the Gradual Dhyāna Gate; this is called the gradual contemplation.
