4.129

又天魔、外道，愛見流轉，不識四諦。此七位人明識四諦。《大經》云：「我昔與汝等不見四真諦」（云云）。見四諦者，識屬愛四諦，識屬見四諦，皆能明了。若解四諦，則所見真正，無有邪曲，故是賢人相也。

Furthermore, heavenly Māras and non-Buddhists transmigrate in craving and views, not knowing the four truths. Persons in these seven stages clearly understand the four truths. The Great Sūtra says: 'Formerly, I and you all did not see the four noble truths,' and so forth. Seeing the four truths means understanding the four truths pertaining to craving and understanding the four truths pertaining to views, being able to perceive all of them clearly. If one understands the four truths, then what one sees is correct and true, without crookedness; hence these are the marks of a worthy person.
