二、明出世間禪者，即有四種，謂觀、練、熏、修。觀者，謂九想、八背捨、八勝處、十一切處，通稱觀禪。

Second, in explaining supramundane dhyānas, there are four kinds, namely: contemplation, refining, perfuming, and cultivation. "Contemplation" refers to the nine notions, eight liberations, eight spheres of mastery, and ten totalities; they are collectively called contemplative dhyāna.
