4.15

行人為破婬火，必須增想純熟。隨所觀時，與定相應。想定持心，心無分散，能除世間貪愛，破六種欲：有人著赤、白、黃、黑等色、或著相貌端嚴、或著威儀姿態、或著語言嬌媚、或著細滑肌體、或著可意之人。此六欲淵，沈沒行者。

In order to quench the fire of lust, the practitioner must develop notions until they are thoroughly ripened. In accordance with what is contemplated, it conjoins with concentration. The contemplation through notions holds the mind so that it does not scatter; it can eliminate mundane craving and break the six kinds of desire: some attach to forms such as red, white, yellow, and black; some attach to well-proportioned, handsome features; some attach to deportment and posture; some attach to charming speech; some attach to smooth, delicate flesh; or some attach to pleasing persons. These six desire-abysses drown practitioners.
