別教十地既對四果，今以方便，擬四善根，何咎？又通教，通於通別、真似兩解，作此比決，於義分明也。

Since the ten stages of the distinctive teaching correspond to the four fruits, what fault is there now in provisionally matching them to the four wholesome roots? Furthermore, the shared teaching is shared between the shared and distinctive, and between the real and apparent understandings; making this comparison and determination renders the meaning distinct.
