As for 'divisions' (aṅga), each distinct division consists of its own category. As for 'scripture' (sūtra), in foreign lands it is called *sūtra*, and here called 'thread scripture'. A thread can string together, and a warp can interweave with a weft; words can uphold the Dharma, like thread and like a warp. However, in the *Abhidharma-hṛdaya-śāstra*, five meanings of *sūtra* are explained, but those are that treatise master's explanation of its meaning, not a translation of the name. In worldly usage, 'warp' (jing) is also paired with 'weft' (wei), and *jing* is glossed as 'constant'. Just as an object persists through beginning and end—though the times of beginning and end differ, the object does not alter—because it does not alter, it is called 'constant'.
