二、為自成來者，法身菩薩進道無定，或從生身進道、或從法身進道。故下涌出菩薩云：「我亦自欲得此真淨大法。」〈分別功德品〉中明增道損生，即其義也。

Second, concerning coming in order to complete oneself: the progress on the Way of dharma-kāya bodhisattvas is not fixed; they may advance on the Way from a physical body, or advance on the Way from the dharma-kāya. Therefore, the bodhisattvas welling forth from below say: 'We also wish on our own to attain this true, pure, great Dharma.' In the chapter 'Discernment of Merits', clarifying the increase of the Way and decrease of rebirth conveys precisely this meaning.
