三、為本緣所牽，本從此佛初發道心，亦從此佛住不退地。佛尚自入分段施作佛事，有緣之者何得不來！猶如百川應須朝海，緣牽應生亦復如是。

Third, being drawn by original conditions: originally they first gave rise to the mind directed toward the Way under this buddha, and under this buddha they also came to abide on the stage of non-retrogression. When the Buddha himself enters fragmented [birth and death] to perform buddha-works, how could those with conditions not come! Just as the hundred rivers must flow toward the sea, being drawn by conditions to responsive birth is just like this.
