6.173

若通教中法門眷屬者，觀諸法如幻、如化，體達即空為實。分別四門，同異為權。於此二智生解，名導師。慈愛眾生為女，令生善直心為男，行六度道品為知識。是為通教中法門眷屬（云云）。

If it is the retinue of Dharma-gates in the shared teaching, contemplating all dharmas as illusory and transformational, and realizing their identity with emptiness is the real. Differentiating the four gates and their sameness and difference is the expedient. Generating understanding regarding these two wisdoms is called the guide. Loving care for sentient beings is the daughter; causing them to generate a good and upright mind is the son; practicing the six perfections and the factors of the Path is the good friend. This is the retinue of Dharma-gates in the shared teaching, and so forth.
