明事眷屬，伏聽學文字人；明法門眷屬，伏行教人；明觀心眷屬，伏觀心坐禪人。三種法門，並過其聞見（云云）。

Clarifying the retinue of phenomenal affairs subdues those who study words and letters; clarifying the retinue of Dharma-gates subdues those who practice the teachings; clarifying the retinue of contemplation of mind subdues those who practice meditation and contemplation of mind. All three Dharma-gates surpass what they have heard and seen, and so forth.
