二番二十五有修因益者，夫自、他因果，各隨義便，互舉一邊，說之則易。前果報益，處所、時節不同，不得一身備論諸益，從多人多處易顯。若明因益，一人之心起無量業，其義易顯。故約一人明二十五有因益也。云何因益？四因壞益，二十一因成益；或一因壞益，一因成益，二十三亦成亦壞益。

As for the second turn, the benefit of cultivating causes in the twenty-five states of existence: for causes and effects of self and other, each according to the convenience of the meaning, it is easy to explain them by citing one side. In the previous benefit of retribution, places and times differed, so one could not fully discuss all benefits within a single body; it was easily revealed in terms of many persons and many places. If one clarifies the benefit of causes, immeasurable karma arises in the mind of a single person, and the meaning is easily revealed. Therefore, the benefit of causes in the twenty-five states of existence is clarified with reference to a single person. What is the benefit of causes? Four causes are destroyed as a benefit, and twenty-one causes are completed as a benefit; or one cause is destroyed as a benefit, one cause is completed as a benefit, and twenty-three are both completed and destroyed as a benefit.
