釋法名者，三世佛法雖多無量，十二部經收罄無不盡。先出達摩欝多羅，有七種分別：體一、相二、制名三、定名四、差別五、相攝六、料簡七。

Regarding the explanation of the names of the teachings: although the Buddha-dharmas of the three periods of time are immeasurable, the twelve divisions of scriptures encompass them entirely without remainder. First, citing Dharmottara, there are seven kinds of distinctions: 1. Unity of substance. 2. Duality of characteristics. 3. Establishment of names. 4. Fixing of names. 5. Distinctions. 6. Mutual subsumption. 7. Critical analysis.
