定名有四，脩多羅名線經。經體是名字，而名從況喻。祇夜、偈陀，當體為名。授記、無問自說、論義等三經，體事合目。自餘從事也。

Regarding 'fixing of names', there are four types: sūtra is named 'thread-scripture'; the substance of the scripture consists of names and characters, but the name is derived from a metaphor. Geya and gāthā derive their names from the substance itself. The three scriptures of vyākaraṇa, udāna, and upadeśa combine substance and event in their titles. The rest derive from events.
