7.240

譬如蓮華，鬚蘂圍遶在華內蓮外，此名蓮華如是緣。菩薩亦如是，於真因中，具足萬行六波羅蜜，一行一切行，資助於因，如鬚在華內，若得果時，眾行休息，如鬚在蓮外，是名佛界如是緣。經言：「盡行諸佛，所有道法。」即其義也。

For instance, like a lotus flower: the stamens and pistils encircle it within the petals and outside the seed-pod; this is called the lotus flower's suchness of condition. A bodhisattva is also like this: in the true cause, completely endowed with the myriad practices and the six pāramitās, one practice is all practices, assisting the cause just as the stamens are inside the flower; when the fruit is attained, all practices cease, just as the stamens are outside the seed-pod; this is called the buddha realm's suchness of condition. A sūtra says, 'Completely practicing all the paths and dharmas of all buddhas'—this is its meaning.
