7.88

以三義故，推諸神通，迹而非本，始獲近修拂疑等，如上說。又四句料簡亦如上。然從本垂迹，迹則非本，拂迹顯本，宜棄迹指本，本迹迹本不思議一也。

Because of three points, examining these spiritual powers, they are traces and not the original: newly obtained, recently cultivated, brushing aside doubts, and so forth, as explained above. The fourfold evaluation is also as above. However, dropping traces from the original source, the traces are not the original source; brushing aside the traces to reveal the original source, one should cast aside the traces and point to the original source. The original and traces, traces and original, are an inconceivable unity.
