9.148

住非三非一顯一者，或約理，或約事。約理者，是法住法位，世間相常住，是法不可示，知法常無性，佛種從緣起。無性即非三非一，從緣起即是三緣顯一，令會非三非一。約事者，即是人天乘，此乘非三，亦復非一。常以此乘引入於大，低頭舉手，皆成佛道，若我遇眾生，盡教以佛道。

'Abiding in neither three nor one and revealing the one' is treated either in terms of principle or in terms of phenomena. In terms of principle: 'These phenomena abide in their phenomenal stations; the characteristics of the world are ever-abiding'; 'This Dharma cannot be demonstrated; knowing that dharmas are ever devoid of nature, the buddha-seed arises from conditions.' Devoid of nature is precisely neither three nor one; arising from conditions is the three conditions revealing the one, causing convergence with neither three nor one. In terms of phenomena: this is precisely the vehicle of humans and devas; this vehicle is not three, nor is it one. Constantly using this vehicle to guide [beings] into the Great: 'Bowing the head or raising a hand, all have attained the buddha path'; 'Whenever I encounter sentient beings, I teach them entirely through the buddha path.'
