覆迹顯本者，亦約機應多端。若執迹障本，故覆令不執，更對後機，還須用迹，故有師子奮迅之力。文云：「以若干言辭，因緣譬喻，種種說法。」所作佛事，未曾暫廢。

Concealing the traces and revealing the original source: this also concerns the multiple aspects of capacity and response. If attachment to the traces obstructs the original source, they are concealed to prevent attachment; then, facing later capacities, the traces must be used again; thus he possesses the power of the lion's sprint. The text says: "Using various words, causes, conditions, and parables, expounding the Dharma in various ways." The buddha-work he performs has never ceased for a single moment.
