Contemplating the dependent and primary [retributions] as impure shatters the inversion of purity; contemplating feelings as the three sufferings shatters the inversion of pleasure; contemplating conditioned formations as composite shatters the inversion of self; contemplating minds as arising and ceasing shatters the inversion of permanence. The specific and general characteristics, skillful right exertion, bases of psychic power, faculties, powers, factors of awakening, and limbs of the path lead toward the gate of nirvāṇa. The benevolent and compassionate vows, the six perfections, and other practices are the marks of the Mahāyāna. They are also the marks of precept, concentration, and wisdom, as well as the mark of being able to eradicate. This is called the wisdom of the truth of the path.
