「亦乃」已去，謙己聞者未能盡意。「卷舒鑽仰」者，章安總歎再治再讀理堅意高，如孔子諸弟子歎孔子智深，如窺其宮牆，鑽之彌覺其堅，仰之彌覺其高，如飲大河水飽腹而歸不測深淺。

From 'and also' onward, he humbles himself that what he heard could not fully grasp the intention. 'Rolling up, unrolling, boring into, and looking up': Zhang'an generally sighs over the firmness of the principle and the loftiness of the meaning upon repeated revision and reading, just as Confucius's disciples praised Confucius's deep wisdom: like peeking over the palace wall, boring into it one finds it all the firmer, and looking up at it one finds it all the loftier; like drinking water from a great river, returning with a full belly without plumbing its depth.
