次釋蓮華又為六：初總立；次用譬意；三從「一為」下別釋；四「是以」下結法譬先後，以明法譬意；五「蕩化城」下探取經旨，以顯法譬；六「一期」下總結用譬本意，以示結歸。

Next, explaining 'lotus flower' also has six parts: first, generally establishing it; second, the intention of using the metaphor; third, from 'First, for the sake of' downward, explaining individually; fourth, from 'Therefore' downward, concluding the sequence of dharma and metaphor to clarify their purpose; fifth, from 'Clearing away the conjured city' downward, drawing out the sūtra's meaning to reveal the dharma and metaphor; sixth, from 'One lifetime' downward, concluding the original intention of using the metaphor to show the ultimate destination.
