三對五心中二：初正對，次結成。初中開合等三起慧心者，此三性是分別簡擇故也。「觀心」者，隨聞一句攝事成理，不待觀境方名脩觀。無事間雜，故云「精進」。

In the third, matching with the five minds, there are two parts: first directly matching, next concluding. In the first, opening and merging and so on, the three give rise to the mind of wisdom because these three natures are analytical discernment. As for "contemplating the mind": following each sentence heard, it absorbs phenomena into the principle, not waiting for an objective realm of contemplation before being called practicing contemplation. Because there are no phenomenal interruptions, it says "vigorous exertion."
