次「今取」下辨同，取壽量所見與方便實相體同。所見者，經云「如斯之事如來明見」，正明佛有能見之德，故須云見。取所見邊以證體同，經中廣明如來如實知見等相（云云）。

Next, from "Now we take" onward, it determines identity, taking what is seen in the "Lifespan" chapter as identical in essence to the true aspect of [the chapter on] "Expedient Means". Regarding what is seen, the sūtra states, "Such matters the Tathāgata clearly sees." This directly clarifies that the Buddha possesses the virtue of being able to see; therefore it must speak of "seeing". Taking the aspect of what is seen serves to prove the identity of essence. The sūtra explains extensively the marks of the Tathāgata knowing and seeing as it truly is, and so forth.
