Third, regarding directly clarifying generation and sequence: since it is said to be iterative, as the name stands at the beginning, from what is it generated? The name emerges from the principle. First, citing Master Zhao's intention: dharmas are originally nameless, and names are conventional and lack real substance, hence it says 'names have no power to summon things'; the nature of things is empty, with no reality corresponding to conventional names; both name and reality being absent is merely the meaning of ultimate truth. Now we discuss conventional truth, and therefore must distinguish names. Although principle has no name, conventional names reveal reality; therefore it is necessary to establish the name 'Wondrous Dharma' to reveal the reality of the Wondrous Dharma of origin and traces.
