「問論宗」去以用難宗，「論」字平聲。論宗既取自行，論用何故俱取自他？答如文。此下諸問對簡者，正為簡用兼為顯宗。

From "Question: In discussing the central theme..." onward, function is used to challenge the central theme; the character lun ("discussing") is in the level tone. If discussing the central theme takes only one's own practice, why does discussing function take both oneself and others? The answer is as in the text. The various questions and critical assessments below directly serve to differentiate function, and concurrently serve to clarify the central theme.
