1.60

約教者，三藏佛從析門發真無漏，住有餘、無餘涅槃。通佛從體門發真，住有餘、無餘涅槃。別佛從次第門入，住祕密藏。圓佛從不次第門入，住祕密藏。前三佛住，能所皆麁；後一佛住，能所俱妙。今經則是圓佛住於妙住也。

In terms of the teachings: The Buddha of the Tripiṭaka teaching, realizing the genuine uncontaminated state through the approach of analytical reduction, abides in nirvāṇa with residue and nirvāṇa without residue. The Buddha of the shared teaching realizes the genuine state through the approach of understanding the nature of phenomena as empty, abiding in nirvāṇa with residue and nirvāṇa without residue. The Buddha of the distinctive teaching enters through the gradual approach, abiding in the secret treasury. The Buddha of the perfect teaching enters through the non-gradual approach, abiding in the secret treasury. For the abidings of the former three Buddhas, both subject and object are crude; for the abiding of the latter single Buddha, both subject and object are subtle. In the present sūtra, it is the Buddha of the perfect teaching abiding in the subtle abiding.
