第三品，復能教他者是也，先標人，從「起立」下，格量也。「況復有人」下，第四品，復能兼行六度者是也。先標人，從「其德最勝」下，格量也。「若人讀誦」下，第五品，復能正行六度是也。先標人，從「若我滅後」下，格量也。結此五品，前三人是聞慧位，兼行六度思慧位，正行六度是修慧位，都是十信前耳。或云初〈隨喜品〉，是入信心位，分一品為兩心，五品即十信心，即是鐵輪六根清淨位也。

The third grade is one who can further teach others: it first identifies the person; from 'rises up' onward is the evaluation. From 'How much more so if there is a person' onward is the fourth grade, one who can further practice the six pāramitās as a secondary practice: it first identifies the person; from 'their virtue is supreme' onward is the evaluation. From 'If a person reads and recites' onward is the fifth grade, one who can further practice the six pāramitās as a primary practice: it first identifies the person; from 'If after my extinction' onward is the evaluation. Concluding these five grades: the first three persons are at the stage of the wisdom gained from hearing; practicing the six pāramitās as a secondary practice is the stage of the wisdom gained from reflection; practicing the six pāramitās as a primary practice is the stage of the wisdom gained from cultivation; all of these are prior to the ten faiths. Alternatively, some say the initial 'Chapter on the Merits of Joyful Acceptance' is the stage of entering the faithful mind; dividing one grade into two minds, the five grades constitute the ten faithful minds, which is the stage of the iron wheel, the purification of the six sense faculties.
