五、列名者，大士大名，或從法門，或從行德，或從本願，雖是一名備無量義，今依經、依觀，銷十八菩薩名。

Fifth, listing the names: the great names of the great beings are derived either from Dharma gates, from practice and virtues, or from original vows; though each is a single name, it encompasses immeasurable meanings. Now, relying on the sūtras and on contemplation, the names of the eighteen bodhisattvas are explained.
