「藥王」者，《悲花》云：「願賢劫一千四佛初成道我皆供養，諸佛入滅我皆起塔，劫盡苦惱我皆救護，刀兵、疾疫作大醫王，然後作佛。寶藏佛言：『今當字汝為火淨藥王，在後作佛即樓至如來。』」觀心釋（云云）。此下欠釋七菩薩。

'Bhaiṣajyarāja' (Medicine King): the Beihua jing says: 'May I make offerings when the one thousand and four buddhas of the Fortunate Kalpa first attain the Way; when the buddhas enter extinction, may I build stūpas for all; at the end of the kalpa when there is suffering, may I rescue and protect all, acting as a great medicine king during wars and pestilence, and only then become a buddha. Ratnagarbha Buddha said: "Now I shall style you Pure Fire Medicine King; when you later become a buddha, you will be Rucika Tathāgata."' Explanation by contemplation of mind (and so forth). Below this, explanations for seven bodhisattvas are missing.
